We welcome families with children and adults for baptism and also thanksgivings. Baptisms are held on the second and fourth Sundays in the month at 12 noon.
To arrange a baptism please visit All Saints' Church between 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm on the first Thursday of every month. If there is any difficulty please contact: Heather Evans, Parish Assistant on 01527 577759.
When a family comes to arrange a baptism for a child they will be asked whether they would prefer a thanksgiving service which involves blessing of the child or a baptism which involves deeper commitment with parents and godparents being required to make statements of faith. The differences between the two services will be explained. For a baptism, families will be expected to attend either Sunday Services or Wednesday Small Saints services on at least two occasions before fixing a date for a baptism.

If you are planning your wedding – congratulations! We would be very pleased to arrange a service for you at All Saints Church which offers a beautiful building in lovely grounds. The parking is good too!
The first step is for you to visit All Saints’ Church vestry in Burcot Lane on the first Thursday of the month between 6.30pm and 8.00pm bringing proof of identity and address. If you are unable to make this time, please phone 01527 577808 and speak to Sue who will be able to arrange another time for you. It is important to make this contact early in the plans for your wedding.
1. Further Meetings
After the initial visit to the vestry of All Saints' Church your booking will be confirmed and you will, in due course, receive an invitation to a Wedding Preparation Meeting. This is an opportunity to meet the minister who will be conducting your service and other couples getting married in Bromsgrove at around the same time and to begin to think about what you might like for your service - music, hymns, readings, an order of service for example. You will also arrange to meet your minister on another occasion to plan the details of your special service and to talk through the words of marriage service and what it means. A few days before your wedding you will have the opportunity to have a rehearsal in church with the people playing a key part in the service.
The basic fee for a wedding in our church in 2016 is £446. There may be additional charges for heating, lighting depending on the time of year, for the services of a verger and others who will prepare the church for your wedding and for the organist (£90) and choir (£40) if required. Fees may increase very slightly each year.
Weddings are possible all the year around. However when the Bromsgrove Festival takes place (2 weeks at the end of June and beginning of July) there is an art exhibition in the church. We have to close the exhibition when there is a wedding so ideally we prefer to avoid this time.
We ask for a deposit of £100 to secure your wedding booking. This will be returned if you have to cancel the wedding unless the church has incurred expenses. Payment in full must be received a month before the wedding.
3. Banns of Marriage
If you live in Bromsgrove Parish your banns will be called in the church where you are to be married. This will usually be at the 10.15am service on three Sundays in the month before the month you are due to be married. If one or both of you do not live in Bromsgrove Parish, banns will need to be called at the church in the parish where you live and a certificate of proof of reading obtained from that church. There is a small charge for this. This certificate must be shown to us no later than the rehearsal, otherwise the wedding cannot go ahead.
There will usually be some flowers in the church already. You are welcome to add more. You will need to arrange access to the church for your flower arrangers.
Usually the minister conducting your wedding will ask your guests not to take photographs during the service. However official photographers are welcomed and the minister will explain to you and your photographer the guidelines about photography during the service.
6. Other Items
Confetti is allowed but the use of non-degradable material especially metallic is discouraged. We ask that it is thrown near the pavement, well away from the church.
You are asked to provide ushers to welcome the guests and to give out service sheets or hymn books. Stewards for car parking may be necessary. Two-hour parking is available at the kerbside next to the church. Parking without time restriction is available behind the church and alongside the church hall.
Ideas for music, hymns and readings can be found on the Church of England website www.yourchurchwedding.org and on other wedding websites and your minister and organist can also make suggestions.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU.
