All Saints’ Church. Mission of the Church

Our Mission Committee follows the Five Marks of Mission

  • To proclaim the good news of the Kingdom
  • To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
  • To respond to human need by loving service
  • To seek to transform unjust structures of society
  • To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and to sustain the life of the earth

What we do:

1. As a church we support the work of  Christian Aid, the Children’s Society and the Mothers’ Union.

2. We respond to emergencies, e.g. floods in Pakistan.

3. We are a Fairtrade Church

4. About twice a year we have a Traidcraft stall and about four times a year we hold a Mission Stall selling cakes, marmalade and any goods people donate.

5. We celebrate One World Week, Fairtrade Fortnight and hold coffee days to raise money.

6. In recent years we have given donations to the following:

  • Workaid
  • Church Housing Trust
  • USPG
  • St. Paul’s Home for the Homeless in Worcester
  • North Bromsgrove High School Gambian Link

7. We have organised Workaid tools collections to provide tools to be renovated and sent to developing countries.

8. Occasionally we leaflet the local area, especially new housing, with information.

9. The church also collects food for the Young Homeless (basement project) and the Newstarts projects.

10. Used stamps go to the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
